The D.C. Medicare Savings Program (MSP) has removed limits on personal savings, opening the program to an additional 16,000 D.C. residents with Medicare. Single individuals with monthly income under $2,620 and couples with monthly income under $3,520 are eligible.

Members of the Medicare Savings Program do not have to pay for Medicare premiums, deductibles or co-insurance payments. Prescription drug costs are reduced to less than $6 each month for covered medications.

Applying is easy and you can continue to see any doctor who accepts Medicare. For free information and assistance on how to apply, please call the George Washington Health Insurance Counseling Project at 202-739-0668.
